1.2 is a project dedicated to highlighting the process of individuals. It’s not a project exclusive to creative individuals either. Every single person in any craft, profession, career, passion, and so forth has a process. Fishermen have attention to detail in the bait they use, barbers are peculiar with the razors they use on a client; every little thing we do is process. We created this project because our world is becoming very fast. Instant gratification is at an all-time peak with social media being more prevalent than ever causing us to wonder if people even care about the little things. By a lot of measures people do care about the process, but we do not celebrate it enough. That is why this project exists.
Method Research, Strategy, Approach
What does process look like? When creating this project, this is a question we had to consider genuinely. How can process differentiate itself in the physical form when the final product is in front of you? Well to us, the solution was to backtrack and see where the process began and ended. Below is a sample of a conversation between us and our friend Bryan. He was generous enough to let us in his space and capture a demo reel of what he was getting up to. We also kept the conversation open to whatever came about. Natural and organic choices ultimately helped us tell Bryan’s story from a more holistic point of view. This was our process. I think process looks different for everyone, but having a method to the madness is what I believe it's all about. Our madness in retrospect you could say was having fun and seeing where it goes.

Challenges - The challenges presented in this project often involve trial and error. Because Alvin and I are new to culminating a project of this size, we've had to make a countless number of adjustments to really fine-tune what our vision is. We know this is something to be expected however and embrace it as a great opportunity to learn!
Takeaways - This project truthfully is still unfolding in front of me however it has bared plentiful fruit. Being able to meet new individuals and connect on new levels with good friends is something that is unmatched. Beyond human connection, being able to curate a project from quite literally nothing is beautiful in its own right.
